This 5 Part Series will deepen your understanding of meditation and the benefits it will bring into your life. Bringing meditation into your life increases immune function, decreases pain and decreases inflammation at the cellular level. Not only that, it increases positive emotion, decreases stress, anxiety and depression. It helps deepen your sense of connection to others, increases social connection and emotional intelligence and best of all, it enhances your self-control. Improves your ability to regulate your emotions and improves your ability to introspect. How does it do all of this? Meditation quite literally changes your brain. Studies show everything from Increased grey matter to increased volume in areas related to emotion regulation, positive emotions, and self-control to increased cortical thickness in areas related to paying attention. This class will start with 10 Minutes of centring and gentle pranayama, followed by a sequence of gentle and mindful, meditation in motion style of movement. Then, a 10-15 minute seated meditation, and a relaxing savasana to end the class.
